‘Darcy’ is a quality black 14hh gelding, with plenty of good flat bone, straight action, is stocky in build and hardy, and has a long mane and tail of straight and silky hair. We bought ‘Darcy’ from England in March 2006, he has settled in well with both us and the other ponies. 'Darcy' is a nice forward going ride, having an alert and intelligent approach to work. He is also a keen jumping pony, enjoying cross country. My daughter hopes that she can compete with him in ridden Le Trec events next year. We would also like to train him to harness.

'Darcy' has very good breeding, with such great Fell stallions as his sire Peepings Raven, as well as Lunesdale Jerry, Waverhead Rambler, Lunesdale Lucky Jim, , and Townend Flash II. He also has a very good female line of Peepings, Sleddale and Heltondale breeding. We hope to use 'Darcy' as a promotional pony in France for the breed, attending one or two large Salon du Cheval expo's in the coming years; and also attending randonnée events during the spring and autumn months. We look forward to many fun years with this fun chap. Darcy was shown at the 2nd AFPF Fell Pony Breed Show in September, he won the Gelding class, was 2nd in the Ridden Class, and won the Handy Pony competition.
