Monkfields Faye FP3244

We bought ‘Faye’, a superb stocky black 13.3hh mare, in October 2003 in foal to Orton Hall Dennis. She produced a nice grey filly foal on 30th April 2004, Globetrotter Quicksilver ‘Sugar’. We weaned “Sugar” from Faye in December 2004 and put Faye with Precious, the wonderful ‘school mistress’ of the herd. We brought Faye back into ridden work, as she had been lightly backed when in the UK, but she was still not settled in enough with us and the other ponies, so we did a bit more ground work training with her, and then in the spring of 2005 we decided it best to put her back with our stallion Dene Teviot. ‘Faye’ is now a lot more trusting with us and the other ponies, and has found her place in the herd which she is happy about. Faye is proving to be a very good broodmare and she will have a foal in spring 2006.
