Townend Merion 'Merion' we bought in June 2006 from England as a new bloodline and future ride and drive mare. Merion is a black 3yr old filly of with good conformation, movement, and nice flat bone. She has a lovely friendly character. We hope she will make a nice ride and drive mare when older. Merion has good breeding, with past show winners and proven stock such as her sire, Townend Flash II, Mountain Flash II, Lunesdale Jerry, and the mare Townend Scilla to name but a few. In July 2006 Mersion ran out with our grey stallion Murthwaite Tikka and is in foal to him for an early summer foal in 2007.
Merion came 3rd in the youngstock class at the 2nd AFPF Fell Pony Breed Show,
we felt she showed herself well. We look forward to doing some more shows and
events with her over the next few years, she is a good type to promote the breed.
